FaraPack Polymers Ltd was spun-out as an independent company from the University of Sheffield in July 2004, as a joint venture between the Polymer Centre and the Faraday Packaging Partnership. The company was set up to fill the observed gap in the market between academic consultancy and a one year post-doctorial position which is the usual university offering. Therefore, it offers short to medium term polymer research on the timescales of a few days to a few months.

In the first year of trading FaraPack Polymers broke-even and now at the end of the second year of trading FaraPack Polymers is proud to be able to announce a profit. The company is looking forward to a bright future and is planning to focus on the growth of the business in its 3rd year of trading.
