FaraPack Polymers Ltd was spun-out as an independent company from the
University of Sheffield in July 2004, as a joint venture between the
Polymer Centre and the Faraday Packaging Partnership. The company was set
up to fill the observed gap in the market between academic consultancy and
a one year post-doctorial position which is the usual university offering.
Therefore, it offers short to medium term polymer research on the timescales
of a few days to a few months.
In the first year of trading FaraPack Polymers broke-even and now at the
end of the second year of trading FaraPack Polymers is proud to be able to
announce a profit. The company is looking forward to a bright future and
is planning to focus on the growth of the business in its 3rd year of
trading.
The major strengths of the company arise from its access to the knowledge
and expertise present within the Polymer IRC and its ability to provide a
rapid response to customer requests. To find out what previous customers
